Absolutely, Deborah! After harvesting ripe seeds from drying pods, plant in germinating mix and cover only lightly. I would avoid really high temperatures while waiting for fall to come around. Best time to plant will be when night time temperatures in your area are reaching the mid- 50's. When planting seeds, I like to use regular potting mix, but do the light covering with germination mix. You may also plant outside, but you need to prepare a seed bed that is weed free (not an easy task in my opinion), and you will have to wait until spring if you are in a colder planting zone. |
