It has been quite a season for Lycoris bloom here in Northwest Arkansas. L. squamigera bloom season has ended, L. longituba and L. sprengeri are in full bloom, and L. chinensis is getting started. I've had a few L. sanguinea blooming in the month of August, but more sporadic than I had hoped for. I am finding the L. sanguinea flower to be very sensitive to sunlight. These should perform best in a summer shaded location. |
